In the beginning the collection seems a bit restrained, but all of the sudden, it's like a jolt of caffeine and everything's suddenly quintessentially McQueen, for a minute there you forget you're looking at a Givenchy collection. I love the modernity and the pseudo utilitarian elements of the collection, i.e. the neoprene blazer gown in the beginning and the sale-able separates. I'm sure the rich women of Paris threw all their billions his way that season. That's what true couture should be!
