Burberry S/S 15: 'The Birds and The Bees'

The collection, named ‘The Birds and The Bees’, includes bright book cover designs, oversize butterfly prints and hand-drawn honey bees, which were referenced on the hand-painted runway and illustrated on the transparent roof above the 1500 guests.



Colours range from poppy red, fern yellow, pale sweet pea, dragonfly blue, beetle green to rosehip.

  Fabrics include printed honey gabardine, dégradé silk and suede, wing-pleat tulle, butterfly printed satin, iridescent sequins, indigo denim, glossy shell leather, shearling and textured silk.

  The silhouettes feature trench coats, wasp waist denim jackets, layered tulle dresses, field jackets and draped skirts.

  Accessories are the Bee Bag, the Mini Bee Bag, book cover print pouches, the Field Sneaker, the Field Sandal, the Butterfly Shades and the Dragonfly Belt.

  The prints include bright book cover designs featuring the insects and flowers of Britain, oversize butterfly prints, and hand-drawn honey bees.

  Make-up artist Wendy Rowe used S/S 15 Burberry make-up and Burberry nailpolish. The models also wore My Burberry eau de parfum.
      Guests included British models Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, Mario Testino, actors Naomie Harris, Dakota Johnson, Vicki Zhao, Ko So Young, Gala Gordon, Jamie Campbell Bower, musicians Paloma Faith, model Amber Le Bon, Olivia Palermo and Elena Perminova.  
  British singer-songwriter and Burberry Acoustic musician James Bay performed the live soundtrack to the show.
