Karl Lagerfeld Opens London Store And Launches UK Capsule Collection
Karl Lagerfeld has launched a London-inspired capsule collection, to commemorate the opening of the new Regent Street store on March the 14th, 2014.
Taking inspiration from the United Kingdom and its Union Jack flag, the collection’s rock-chic aesthetic celebrates glamorous London.
Pieces are playful, rebellious edge and grown-up luxe twist. To complement the capsule collection, Karl Lagerfeld designed select limited-edition men’s and women’s looks inspired by traditional English military apparel.
The capsule collection includes ready-to-wear apparel such as slouchy printed tees, tank tops, distressed skinny jeans and sweaters with glitter embellishments. Accessories range from a wide-brimmed fedora, shopper bag, slip-on shoes and scarves, to finger gloves influenced by the designer’s personal style. KARL LAGERFELD’s statement Kuilted leather handbag and wallet have been updated with a studded silver Union Jack design.
The collection also includes home accessories and gadgets, such as an iPhone case, cushions, brooches and the iconic Choupette key ring in a special London design. Karl’s arrival in London will also be celebrated with the creation of a limited-edition Karl Lagerfeld Tokidoki doll, called Mr. UK, with only 1500 exclusive pieces available.
The capsule collection will be available at the new store on 145-147 Regent Street, in addition at the brand’s flagship locations across Europe and Asia. The additional military-inspired apparel will be available exclusively at Karl Lagerfeld stores in London, Paris and Munich.
