The invitation, a golden baroque frame, announced a pomp & glam show to come.
Philipp Plein showed his Pompadour Punk collection in an ultra-glamorous salon, decorated with mirrors, golden trees & stucco, as well as the brand`s signature skull.
He channels Versailles and Madame Pompadour for his S/S 13 collection.
An homage to the splendour of an era. The passion for luxury and love of the aesthetic taken to the extreme with obsessive attention to every detail.
He pictures a splendid noblewoman with aristocratic punk charm, who enjoys music, dance, intrigue and scandal.
She embodies a love of the extreme, mixing couture pieces with street fashion.
She adores brocade, but tones it down with rocking black leather.
She wears jeweled collar tops with leather trousers.
Slender and carefree she pirouettes in soft, printed tops, silk trousers or floating dresses in 70s mood.
Her accessories serve as loyal allies in the game of seduction: sparkling platforms perforated to resemble golden crochet, snakeskin pumps and high studded stilettos.
The show was exciting with lots of opulence, studs, jewels & chains on little fabric. Fierce rock chicks in mini-skirts & studded guitars striding the runway while a rock band was playing live.
The show was followed by a great afterparty.
Philipp Plein really set up the perfect event: best invitation of Milan Fashion Week, stunning location, a live band, a hot runway presentation and an afterparty - every fashion show should be like that!
How do you like the show and the collection?
The black & gold and black & white stuff are cool. :) YEs I like it. :)

Looks so fab. Kinda feel this is the perfect term for it. Fabulous. I really dig the mix between the punk/rock chick and baroque.
